BTW, why did Lincoln vote against the Stupak Amendment? That was before she got a primary challenge and AR is a very pro-life state.
The Stupak amendment was never introduced in the Senate. The Senate had different abortion language (which basically came from Ben Nelson, IIRC), and it's the Senate language that ended up becoming law.
Still, i remember some anti-abortion amendment being voted on in the Senate, and it was rejected wby a vote of 54-40. How come Lincoln voted to reject it when her state is very pro-life (and this was before her priamry challenge)?
