I'm not sure if someone has already asked this question, but if the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Gore back in 2000 and allowed a full recount of Florida, could the Florida legislature have refused the recognize the results of the Supreme Court-ordered recount and sent a separate slate of electors (that supported Bush) to Congress? If that occured, wouldn't the House need to vote for President and the Senate for Vice President, thus making Bush President and Lieberman VP? Do you think that this scenario was likely to occur if the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Gore and/or allowed a full recount in Florida to occur?

The Bacon Deluxe is better than the Baconator.  Though, I prefer organic Spanish omelets for breakfast over fast food burgers.

This is completely irrelevant to the given topic.
