Kansas
Democratic Party Senatorial Primary
O'Dell v. Phelps.

And here's the map of how Phelps faired.



Phelps won two counties, O'Dell won 103 counties.

Shawnee County, Kansas (Topeka)

O'Dell - 12892 (92.3%)
Phelps - 1078 (7.7%)

Montgomery County, KS

Phelps - 1297 (52.9%)
O'Dell - 1156 (47.1%)

Cherokee County, KS

Phelps - 1570 (50.4%)
O'Dell - 1542 (49.6%)

Overall results

O'Dell - 111015 (69.2%)
Phelps - 49416 (30.8%)

After 1992, Phelps lost in two Gubernatorial primaries (one with 3%, and one by an 85%-15% margin)

Ugh.  I'm sad to see my former county (Johnson County) gave Fred Phelps between 10 and 20 percent.  Then again knowing how many Democrats were out there, he probably only got 1 vote and 6 voted for O'Dell.

Phelps - 5133 (32.5%)
