If I may suggest something, Fritz done a trurly impressive work as RG and should be kept in this position Smiley

Thank you for the vote of confidence, friend!  Cheesy

Regarding MG, I don't believe it has to be a Fantasy Elections moderator.  That was certainly not my intent when I created the position in the Senate (yes, this was my doing).  Perhaps a moderator will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think any moderator can perform the function of verifying posts by proxy.  Or can this only be done on the board that you moderate?

Did anyone check the votes in the last election to make sure all the votes came from legitimate accounts? I don't remember anyone confirming this to be the case in the midst of the Teddy witch hunt.

I checked for registered voters, as I always do; I believe Teddy checked for activity requirements and invalidated a few votes on that basis (see SoFE thread).  One thing not checked for to my knowledge is votes from proxies- that is the MG's job.

I actually agree with several points made by Yankee.  The work you have done in game reform does little to actually encourage activity.

Teddy points out that we have become a stagnant community with nothing left to debate.  To some degree, that is true.

That is why, as President, I will work for recruitment of new Atlasians, of all political persuasions, as the primary goal of my administration.  We need new blood injected into the game to keep things interesting.  Also the primary excitement in this game is the elections, and greater numbers of voters makes for more exciting elections.

I dream of a day when 200+ votes cast in elections becomes the norm.

Changing our style of government was discussed ad nauseum in last year's ConCon, Teddy.  Ain't gonna happen.

Purple State, I disagree with your characterization of th JCP as being about amassing political power.  That is certainly not true of ME and my candidacy.

We run not in a quest for power, but out of a sense of duty.  Someone must pick up the ball from Purple State.  We believe that Kalwejt and myself are better choices than Andrew and Duke.

I am firmly opposed to "the R word".  Whats done is done.

Atlasians,

I STRONGLY OPPOSE the Third Constitution in its current form, with the inclusion of a legislative re-boot:

I am a little bit miffed at Purple State for trying to sneak this in without any fanfare.  I actually missed this on my first reading.  We are about to throw six years of legislative history right out the window.  Everything our government has ever done, gone, done, erased.  Every bill that anyone at all has ever fought to get passed, we now have to do it again.  This is just fundamentally wrong, plain and simple.

I urge the Convention to remove this clause.  If it does not, I urge the public to vote the new Constitution down.

My apologies, Mr. President.  I guess I had always believed the Constitution re-write and the legislative re-boot to be two seperate things.
