So at 8pm est, we may have instant calls for MO, MI, and MS

MI won't be until 9PM EST, they won't call the state while the couple counties that are in Central Time are still voting.

Are you sure? They called North Carolina at 7:30 when voting was still open in a few counties until 8

Networks are usually strict about timezone changes.

2016 Pledged Delegate Results

ID: Sanders +13
MI: Sanders +4
MS: Clinton +26
MO: Clinton +1
ND: Sanders +8
WA: Sanders +47

Net: Sanders +45

Another day where the transition from caucuses to primaries will really hurt Sanders.

Putting Baldwin on the ticket is not worth having to risk the seat in what would be a hostile environment for a special election.

This is because the state legislature wouldn't allow election officals start the processing those ballots before polls close.

Brilliant.

Yes.

This is very similar to Austria, where postal ballots are only opened and counted the Monday after Election Sunday.

Nobody really wants to count votes until midnight on a Sunday, so better count them on Monday.

It’s also better for the media: voting ends at 5pm, so all Election Day votes are counted by 7 or 8pm and are ready for primetime discussion shows.

That won't work in Michigan where close to 1 million people voted early.

The actual reporting of the Michigan delay suggests no results on Tuesday period: "Don't expect to see Michigan primary results Tuesday"

That can't be true, can it?

The article makes the situation sound better than the headline.

Even if the campaign continues, we might be done with actually "campaiging" for a while.

No Michigan returns tonight:

You can thank the Michigan State Legislature for that.

I think how each respondent defines Medicare for All makes a difference. Some people might see it as ideal but don't actually vote for a candidate based on it.

I like M4A as a concept, but not how Sanders plan executes it.

For comparison the 2016 numbers were 28/39/33.

In case you wanted more...

Also, I'm pretty sure Sanders has never said he would end wars. He would remove troops from where we are, but never that he would be 100% opposed to using force.

Why the hell does any state have no excuse absentee voting?  If you have no excuse for not voting on election day - You DONT need an absentee ballot!!!  The hint is in the name, absentee.

It's called early voting. Really we should go to 100% vote by mail.

Yeah, and its a disgrace to democracy.  Vote on election day, or don't have one at all.  Lets just have a rolling election year.

Thankfully more states are moving towards VBM, early voting, and no excuse absentee. Looks like your view is losing.

NBC calls Mississippi for Biden, too early to call in Missouri but Biden leads, North Dakota too early.
