So Wasserman already has the House PV margin at about 6 points, and that's with tons of votes from California left to count. How high do you think it could get?

Hillary gained like 2 points from California after election day right? So probably around 8?

Should I just change 2018 to 2020 in the thread title and have this one rollover for 2020's GCBs? Thread seems small enough to keep it going tbh.

I don't feel strongly either way about it, but it seems likely that we'll get very few GCB polls for a while.

Morning Consult will probably have them.

DCCC Texas polls on Marchant,Chip Roy, and Mccaul's district.
No actual polling on head to head vs generic D  which is good 2 years ahead.

Looks like Bustos is smartly making the idea of targetting Texas. Texas 23rd shouldn't be triaged unless it looks like the D's are already losing the house.

24 feels a lot like 7 and 32 did about a year out.

Have to imagine that Wexton has desires of a future Senate or Governor run.

I get the feeling that most of the GOP energy is going to end up focused on CA48/39 this cycle, with CA45 and 49 getting off a little easy.

As it should be. CA 45/49 look to be lost for a generation.

With CA-48, they could use the "Rohrabacher who?" cover.

CA-39 would be a prime pickup if 'Generic R' ran rather than Young "Dems totally stole the vote" Kim

Given the demographic makeup of CA-39, I have to imagine that it won't be easier to get the seat back in a Presidential year.

Low numbers, but Phillips is one of those self-funders with insane ability to dump personal wealth into the seat. So I guess he is kinda ignoring this side of the battle for now.

Also his seat is moving leftward at the speed of light.

Fmr. TX-32 Rep. Sessions running for open TX-17

What should we call this phenomenon? The Issa strategy?

At least Issa was just moving to the district next door in the same county that had territory that was in a prior version of his district. Maybe the Kirkpatrick strategy?

Porter should run for the Senate whenever Feinstein retires.
