Is it really, though? I mean I think it could only pass both houses with bare margins, but given how anti-immigrant the GOP base is and how much they care, this bill is definitely not DOA.

Finding 40 votes to filibuster it won't be hard, it can't be passed under reconciliation, and Mitch won't nuke the legislative filibuster over this.

Also 14 Republicans in 2013 voted for a pathway to citizen ships for undocumented immigrants. Even if a few jump on the Trump Train, there are probably at least 5-7 that will want no part in this.

The US has the right to set an immigration policy to take in only highly skilled immigrants to fill a skills shortage if it chooses. Democrats who are complaining about this show their true colors. They don't care about working class Americans that would have to compete for jobs and see stagnating wages due to a an increase in the supply of labor by allowing in massive waves of unskilled immigrants. For Democrats it seems to only be about increasing the size of their favorite demographic groups so they can win future elections.

Oh, and for the useful idiots who talk out of one side of their mouths about how we need to reduce the number of children we have to help the environment, and then out of the other side of their mouth say we need to take in immigrants forever in order to make up for our low birthrates, you're not fooling anyone, we can see your true motive is demographic replacement.
