House GOP is going to be whipping up votes tonight for Trump care 3.0

No debate, CBO score, or reading of the bill. Just trying to jam through something in the first 100 days

Only to have it die in the Senate.

Lots of Republicans in swing districts are dropping off this bill. Costello (PA-06) is the most recent no.

Maybe you should change the name of the thread? :-D

There's still 20 votes against it. It may or may not pass the House but the Senate will almost certainly kill it.

Out of curiosity do you grasp what the ACA and the repeal law does and do you understand the insurance markets in America? Somehow I think your nuance here is severely lacking and is reducible to “BAD DEMS.”

EDIT: Here, do your homework. Look up reconciliation. I'm fairly sure you have never ever grasped the concept of reconciliation before in a Congressional bill, let alone heard of it before.

Sorry mate, but I'm very well informed in the US legislative process and of course I'm aware of the Reconciliation process that's why I'm very sure that it will pass both chambers. I'm pretty sure that it'll will go one of the two reasonable ways:

1. House Bill agreed to in the Senate by 51 or 52 Votes without changes.
2. Senate amends the bill, passes it and it gets back to the House where the same Reps who voted for the first version will back it again.

Unsurprisingly you didn't answer the first part of the question.

Yeah, without a CBO score we won't know if this clears the Byrd Rule, which is law.

Not providing adequate medical care for the sick (those with pre-existing conditions), of limited means, is shocking to the conscience, and voting for this evil bill I hope ends the careers of many. I am just amazed how this is evolving. Anyway, if my congressman Faso votes for this, he's done. He voted for Ryancare and got burned. We shall see if he learned his lesson.

Ok, I guess it passes and then if it dies in the Senate, all the moderate reps say they were shocked when the CBO score came out and showed later it was a bad bill.

Pretty much my sentiment of what happens at this point.

Or they pass a bill that rips out all the stuff that got the Freedom Caucus.

So when will get a CBO report? Next week?

We don't need to worry about silly things like that. This is the party of responsibility!

But it will be necessary in the Senate.

Mike Coffman is a NO, Dave Reichert is a NO, Mark Amodei is a YES.

Coffman and Reichert were on the "lean yes" list, so this hurts Rs. Currently, based on https://twitter.com/MEPFuller/status/860154277003767811 plus the post above, we are at 17 No, 3 Lean No, 9 Undecided, 13 Lean Yes. Assuming leans stay put and all members vote, the current status of the vote is 209-213, and republicans need to win the undecided vote 7-2 to pass this by one vote.

These were leadership approved Nay votes.

Someone needs to come up with quick lists on the Republicans who voted for this in Clinton districts and districts with a Dem PVI.

They must of promised him something. He knows he's toast in 2018 anyway

Not only did he vote yes, it was his vote that put it over the top.

IRL's statement will be used heavily against him in an ad.

He may have cast the 216th vote, but this did pass with one 'extra' vote. So the "deciding vote" ad can't be used in the same way as it was for the passage of ObamaCare.

No difference between "the" deciding vote and "one of the" deciding votes.

So Portman, Heller, and Capito, and Collins have major issues with the bill in the Senate. That, combined with 48 Democratic votes, means major changes to the left in the Senate -- changes that I don't think the House will swallow easily.

Murkowski also won't vote for any bill that guts Planned Parenthood spending.

So far the senate GOP Nos on the current bill are Murkowski, Collins, Heller, Portman, Capito, and I believe Cotton. If you add Paul, Cruz, Lee then this bill fails 43-57.

Cotton is in the Paul, Cruz, and Lee group.
