Even Nate Silver said there's a R house effect here:

There is no way that Clinton wins college educated whites in NC by 12% and loses the state.

Other than Ohio, these polls aren't that bad.

This seems far too close.. this starts to the put the electoral college back into the margin of error and I'm rather certain Trump isn't there as of right now. CNN has had some Trump friendly polls, so it doesn't surprise me but I'm going to ride with Nate Cohn and take this as a grain of salt with a possible house effect.

If he is still fighting for North Carolina 3 weeks before everybody is getting to their ballots, it's over.

In person early voting starts on Thursday too.

This poll suggests a Trump victory is still possible:

Romney states (including a hold of NC) = 206

Plus
IA - 6
OH - 18
FL - 29
Maine CD  - 1
NH - 4
NV 6

there's 270

No margin for error at all in that scenario but polling suggests all yet within realm of possibility.

Not gonna happen with Clinton up by 8 on average nationally.
