Well, congrats to Clinton supporters. Looks like the polls were quite good this time. However, I think we can throw out the notion that Sanders will always underperform his poll numbers in closed primaries.

I would like to echo this, also there might be some good signs here for Sanders in PA.

Is there any way the NYC/Long Island area can swing it back to 60%+ Clinton?

There's still a bit left, once upstate starts to wrap up... possible, but unlikely.

No idea what's left, but it looks like she's going to go ahead in Erie County as well.

No, too many upstate counties out. Looks like my 57-43 prediction was spot on.

I thought it would be 58-42, hoping it holds.

With Nassau County still out, i reckon it might.

There are results on their county site. So they might already be accounted for.

The only times I've been frustrated as a Bernie supporter were after Nevada, after SC, and on March 15. No reason to be frustrated here. We're doing fine. Bernie's voters will be a force to be reckoned with in the Democratic party's future.

Exactly, we are the future of the party.

Really liking this part about Sandy Hook here (an issue I strongly disagree with Sanders on), more speeches like this and she'll easily get my support in November.

I am surprised she won Monroe and Onondaga counties

You shouldn't be, they are machine states with decent-sized minority voters.

This is one of the clearest Upstate/Downstate divides I've ever seen.

Why can't upstate be it's own state! Tongue

Sanders campaign manager is at the big board with Steve Kornacki, lol!

Should be interesting.

Yes, you are. Now to get that energy/support in midterms/local elections.

Agreed, but I haven't missed an election since November 2010, even Spring elections! Then again I am an odd duck. Tongue

Haha those Lake Champlain counties are essentially an extension of Vermont.

OK yeah, Weaver is full of sh*t. Hope Bernie will have the sense to shut him down when he will need to.

He's just doing his job. Sanders is back in Burlington tonight to regroup and he called to congratulate Clinton on her victory (something that both sides haven't been doing that often this campaign). Hopefully he knows that scorched earth is NOT the way to go.

He's full of sh*t anyway. They're going to concede after CA (or maybe DC.) Everyone was saying Hillary would take it to the convention in 08 too.

It's his job to be full of sh*t. I remember the current Governor of Virginia back in 08 being full of sh*t for Clinton in late May. It's part of the job description.

Yes please, we will need every vote we can get.

Hillary does, and this is why Clinton supporters who attack Sanders and his supporters should think twice. Hillary's not winning without Sanders supporters. She won't have to work for my vote, but it's clear that there are some Democratic voters and Democratic-leaning Independents who aren't sold on her yet.

Might be good if the campaign stops floating these convention shenanigans... What the candidate does matters, and Sanders whole approach needs to change, this is not just about Clinton.

Sanders isn't going to take it to the convention if he loses the pledged delegate count, he's already said as much. He's not going to tell his committed supporters in states like CA that it's over before they have a chance to vote.

That wasn't the only example - but unity after this is as much down to Sanders as it is to Clinton. He needs to stop going negative on Clinton, and focus on his message and his positive tone. He can do well without needing to tear her down. He needs to send the message to his supporters once its clear, that Clinton is not only 'acceptable' and 'preferable' but his choice.

Agree 100%.

Interesting you guys say that. I'm actually surprised he "only" won it by 5 points. Teachout won it by 27 points!

I agree with my buddy IceSpear.

Democrats won that Senate race in Nassau County. Republicans only hold 30/62 Senate seats, but still hold the majority.

Jimmy says he thinks Hillary is just as bad as Trump. Cenk says hillary will be primaried in 2020 like LBJ was in 1968

They've reached peak self parody. lol

1968 was such a good year for progressives tho!

They should focus on building a movement for the local, state, and federal levels over the next 8 years that will be ready to take over the party on the Presidential level in 2024.

It's scary how close this is going to end up being to the 08 primary. Hillary currently has 30k less votes than in 08, Bernie has 1k more than Obama.

Yet the map looks incredibly different. I agree with one of your previous posts, that the swing map is going to be fascinating.

Any idea what's holding up the rest of Eire County? Still 54 precincts outstanding and Clinton is only up 307 votes.

I went to the county website and she's up by about 800 w/3 precincts still out

That makes sense. It's annoying when the AP stops reporting updates.
