I could have sworn there was something like this out previously, but reportedly new audio was released of Rauner on the minimum wage:

^ Thanks. I'm by no means an authority on IL politics, but seems that Democrats should be seeing some red flags around East St. Louis, and and Little Egypt in general.

Here's the turnout change from 2010-2014: (red= more votes, blue= less)

Turnout was down about 2.7%. Most of the counties in the south that swung hardest against Quinn actually cast less votes. Looks like what killed Quinn was the collar counties; turnout stayed pretty close to 2010, but they all swung 5-10% against him.

^ Yes, I'm sure I could get the Presidential results from the Chicago site.

I would have really liked to do the swing from 2010, but from what I understand, there was a ward redistricting in 2011 (so it wouldn't be an apples-to-apples comparison).

Quinn vs Obama:

Turnout (it was about 48% citywide):

Interestingly, turnout was comparatively high in both Quin's best ward and the ones that swing hardest against him.

^ Hmm, I downloaded the shapefile from the city's website, so I assumed it was current. Hopefully the data matches Tongue

Looks like Rauner wasn't joking when, in the debates, he said he looks up to Walker, Snyder and Scott:

I have a few more maps like this coming, but here's 2014 Governor in the East St. Louis area (Madison and St. Clair counties, plus I threw in Macoupin):

More of East St. Louis:

2010:

Swing from 2010 to 2014:

Change in turnout:

Turnout was down almost everywhere, but East St. Louis itself cast almost 14% fewer votes in 2014, which really didn't help Quinn.

Man, Madigan is creaming Rauner.

She's well on her way to avenging the tragic loss of the People's Pat!

FF's!

It was so nice when Illinois had a Governor who cared about public education. Sad!
