I've always thought Ross had a much better chance than Pryor. His voting record is more conservative than Pryor's, and Cotton is a much stronger opponent than Hutchinson.

Though it kind of sucks, since having a Dem Senator from AR is far more valuable than a Dem governor.

And Ross doesn't really have to contend with national issues as much.
