*14 - Fed up with the Liberal Party slowing moving to the right, Estes Kefauver is the first President elected of the newly formed Progressive Democratic Party. His first act is to recommend a constitutional amendment barring the President from serving no more than 3 consecutive full terms and a half term of another's.
*15-America has grown tired of the Kefavuer administration and elects war hero Dwight D. Eisnhower
*15-A corruption scandel involving Vice President Nixon, and ill health rumors, causePresident Eisenhower to lose re-election to former President Estes Kefauver, and Mass. Governor Robert Kennedy.
*16-President Kefavuer is shot and Killed in Dallas Texas
*17- The Governor of Ny Nelson Rockefeller wins in a crowded four way race that is decided by the house. The Senate chooses JFK's VP Hubert Humphrey as the new new Vice President. Making this the first time in history a President and VP are from different parties.
*18 Socialist party decides to support Humphrey in 1972, so he's able to defeat Rockefeller. Socialists and Progressives are talking about creating a new party.
*19 The Socialist and Progressives merge into the "New Dawn" Party.
*20- The National Republicans and Liberals  Parties Merge, creating The People's Party
+21 Gore doesn't run for reelection for health issues. senate majority leader Bernie Sanders defeats VP John Kerry in a close primary, and chooses him to unify the party.

How did something called the "People's Party" become the right wing party?

The Public was starting to turn against the liberal New Dawn party, so the People's party became the right wing party
