Reagan wins due to nostalgia for his dad and since Gore is a poor campaigner and has no charisma. Even Bush Jr. managed to beat Gore in 2000, and there was much less nostalgia for Bush Sr. than for Reagan. I think Reagan would avoid making any large gaffes and would thus win by a larger margin than Bush Jr. did in RL.
