I haven't voted for Obama because we're in a survivor on "nominees" and he was a pretty damn good one.
Nobody votes for JFK whereas he should go now: he wasn't a good candidate, he was very disappointing, given his skills, given his opponent, etc.
How the hell was Obama a "good nominee"? He sucked and almost lost an easy election for the Dems.
He managed to win great in the primaries.
He won convincingly and didn't "almost lose".
He made the story of the election, not McCain (apart from 3 days after Palin's pick, and then...).
Make no mistake: I'm no fan of Obama and would have voted for the Mac (even with Palin in).
Uh, yeah he did. Obama was sinking rapidly in the polls until he was saved by the financial crisis and Palin's gaffes. The idea that he was some great new hope of a nominee is a ridiculous myth without basis in reality.
Agreed, he was losing steam rapidly, and the only think that helped him with the crisis was the financial collapse. Let's face it, the public was beginning to realize he was no JFK, rather another Jimmy Carter
