I personally think the post war era, either extending from 1945-1964 or from 1945-1973 depending on how you look at it, was the peak of America, economically, culturally and in terms of foreign affairs.

When do you think the peak of America was?

No, America has never recovered from the disasters of the Roosevelt era. It's been all downhill since 1945.

You mean so coming out of World War II as the world's most powerful, feared and respected nation and knowing economic prosperity for over nearly 30 years was a bad thing?
