Series 13 begins on Halloween night!

Thoughts on the first episode?  It definitely had me on the edge of my seat, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Seems to be well received but it’ll sour by the part of the fanbase that threw a tantrum over the timeless child since it seems to be something from back then.

Best episode of Whittakers by far, that is a fantastic episode.

Things are starting to come together as expected. Appears they also gave a reason for UNIT timeline to be all wonky but that made the Uber fans mad. Lot of single conservative dudes online complaining about how “woke” the episode was and changing things, the irony of them wanting their feelings taken into consideration.

Episode was ok, nothing special but Ace and Tegan back for the final episode! One more episode left until everyone starts hating RTD again and the “homosexual agenda” attack returns.

Ncuti Gatwa is the new Doctor. Black and gay, going to piss off the usual.

International distribution moving to Disney+ starting next year.

Bonnie Langford back as Mel for an episode in the 14th series.

Rumor is Paul McGann is getting a spin off series.

So the new logo is a retread of the Tom Baker Era.

I guess that's one bright spot after the big insult.

I assume we're building up to a rather overt "stop looking backwards, time for something new" message. Old logo, old Doctor, old companions back for the 60th specials  - with everything burnt down at the end. RTD has never exactly been one for subtly, so that may happen literally.

Presumably ending with Ncuti at the wheel, a new Tardis interior, new logo, new music etc.
Soft reboot territory.

Now that it's being renumbered, it seems this is exactly what happened.

I believe the naming is more due to rights in America as Disney+ doesn’t get the old seasons. But it does help with a soft reboot so we likely won’t get prior references for awhile.

While I didn’t dislike Jodi’s time as the Doctor the writing wasn’t the best and it did feel more like Classic Who which is partially why it wasn’t as liked by modern audiences (besides the bigots).

Tonight’s episode though was a return to that 9-12 feeling and I loved it.

I don’t mind what happened but somehow people like it. If this was done by Chibby and 13 it would have been reviled. Fanbase is a joke.

Rumor is Moffatt is returning for this years Christmas special.

Also officially comes out May 10/11 depending on time zone. First two episodes released same day.

Thought the episodes were good but the usual suspects are going to despise this series too.

Oh yeah, it's all out there innit. I guess I'll get to it, given how much I liked Gatwa. Ideally he isn't let down the same way so many Modern Whos have been.

Next week is a Moffat episode so that will help tremendously.

As usual, The Moff gave us another good who episode. I’d be fine with a The Moff/RTD joint dictatorship for life with Gatiss helping as well.
