So Wisconsin Republicans banned meningitis and chicken pox vaccine mandates. They want to kill kids and make sure people can have unnecessary shingles later in life. Great pro life stance.

Wait, it was signed? This country sucks, man.

Didn’t make it out of committee for “liberty” reasons. Sickening.

Daniel Kelly's campaign launched 3 new ads targeting Protasiewicz's record as judge

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/new-gop-ads-in-wisconsin-supreme-court-race-focus-on-crime/ar-AA198FBL

The first advertisement says that when a man who brutally raped a 13 year old girl and posted a video of it to Facebook, Protasiewicz refused to sentence that child sex predator to prison time

https://host2.adimpact.com/admo/viewer/cce640e2-84a8-49e5-bd31-eb742a183b8a

The second ad says that when a man brutally attacked and sexually assaulted a woman, that victim spent endless nights, unable to sleep plagued by nightmares. Even though Protasiewicz called the offender many females' worst nightmare she cut his sentence to only 2.5 years in jail

https://host2.adimpact.com/admo/viewer/548636f3-bca6-49a2-99fb-16d8a7dd64e8

And the third ad says that a teenager with the mental capacity of a six year old has gotten tricked by a predator on Facebook using a fake name who then sexually assaulted her. Yet Protasiewicz placed that predator into probation with a measly 60 days in local prison

https://host2.adimpact.com/admo/viewer/a32584da-273c-4dba-918b-41db4425f632

Pretty rich from Kelly who got rich trying to get people off for rape and sexual assault.

The weather is mostly gone, sunny in southeastern wisconsin. Maybe more later but not as doomy as people thought. And it’s just normal, spring weather for us in the Midwest.

Woah.

Depends on where those are. The city of Waukesha has always been blue. It’s the county that has been OSR level crazy.

Village of Hartland, apparently.

Not sure of the actual past results but rural city that is usually conservative. They have a “drive your tractor to school day” for reference.

Are we talking about the same Hartland? Arrowhead is a pretty big high school, and it’s not too far from Waukesha or Brookfield both of which could hardly be described as rural.

Oops, long day. Was thinking of Hartford. Hartland is a segregated richy rich people and normal middle class.

First Ozaukee county votes are for the liberals, lets see if that holds.

Always depends on where it is, the further south you go the more liberal it will be. Or the village of port Washington in the north might be good too. The rest is rural wasteland.

He was a huge whiny B after he got destroyed last time. Got destroyed again and is throwing a fit, he’ll probably flee to Florida or Texas where he can help his pedo buddies.

This is just a massive disaster and man only if Kelly didn’t win the primary .

As usual when Republicans get what they want and rape us normal people, they get demolished the next election.

Man, those "nobody will care about Dobbs except for partisans" takes have aged like milk.

I didn’t expect the republicans to handle this issue so incompetently . Turns out they handled it just like they did with Obamacare in 2017

You didn’t expect extremists to go extreme on the issue? They clawed themselves into something deeply unpopular and then can’t stop digging. Hope they burry themselves.

Glad to see Wisconsin could have a shot at being a functioning representative democracy again. Hopefully the new court majority will swiftly throw out the gerrymandered maps before the legislature can pull off any impeachment bullsh*t.

Reminder that if the legislature attempts impeachment BS the Dems will probably force recalls in every theoretical marginal on the map. The GOP would probably have done the same thing first if Dem's won the senate seat last night.

I can't see them doing it. It would such a blatantly partisan move you'd see mass protests that would make those seen under Walker look like nothing.

Vos is evil but not stupid, I think he would likely force enough of them to not do it even though the insane wing will want to.

Looking at results from last night it strikes me what a Democratic monster Dane county has become.

-Turnout in Dane was 80% of Nov 22. Statewide was 69% of Nov 22. Waukesha was 73% of Nov 22.
-Janet P got 82% of the vote in Dane. Obama only got 71% in Dane in 2012.

But even with all that Janet P would still have won if you exclude Dane's results.

And IIRC from reading this somewhere last night turnout was under 50% in Milwaukee? If true, dems still have a sizable # of voters left to turn out in future elections.

It was at 45.3%, which is still a modern record for spring elections.

I hate to say thats normal, but for off-cycle elections it is but not so extreme divergence as yesterday. We all knew and discussed pre-election that urban diverse Milwaukee turnout is low during these primaries/non-federal elections, and Dane seemingly always punches above its weight as if to counteract it.

Oh I for sure get that it's great turnout for an off-cycle spring election, what with urban minorities being less likely to vote when it's not a prez election and all. I'm just saying that in a presidential year, dems still have room to grow b/c of this. Replicate this turnout elsewhere in the state and get Milwaukee up to 60/65 and dems would absolutely romp. If we're fortunate enough to get new state legislature maps in time for '24, with trump as the repub nominee, I can see dems with a very, very good shot at getting the trifecta. Then Walker's legacy can truly be ripped out root and branch.

Dem voters are more packed in, would likely require them to get a reverse gerrymander to get them the trifecta.

I would be bit cautious in coming to any conclusions on 2024 President race based on this result. Trump is flawed but he has his base and he is gonna do lot better than dan Kelly who seems to be a bad candidate...there were likely lot of Trump voters that voted for Janet on Tuesday and will likely vote for Trump again in 2024. Remember...Ron Johnson just won last November. Final margin in 2024 is likely going to be < 3 pts in either direction in Wisconsin..I would be surprised if it's more than that.

No one is making conclusions on the 2024 election based on these results but no, Kelly and Trump are both similar kind of bad candidates.
absolutely not..Kelly has now lost 2 statewide elections in Wisconsin by double digit margin which is super rare in Wisconsin whereas Trump won the state once by 0.7 points and lost the state by 0.7 points the other time. For your average voter, Trump is a better candidate than Kelly. Also federal race, especially a presidential race is gonna be lot more different than state Supreme Court race in Spring that was going to determine future of abortion rights/gerrymandering in the state.

Trump brings out the low propensity rural rednecks who love the hate he gives. They can’t get it up for a loser wannabe like Kelly.

Republican assembly bill will strip all sales tax funding from Milwaukee. State and county asked for a slight raise, they discussed a tiny amount while letting rural areas get a 900% increase. Terrorist c**nts.

Ah yes, all the terrible strings attached in this bill, can’t use it for anything that terrorists think is a waste of money.

Live in a small town in Ozaukee county now to be closer to the wife’s family since I work from home all but once a month. Had what looked to be a high schooler knock on my door just now asking me to sign a 15 week abortion ban petition.

Told him no and he just left. So they’re running scared and grooming the rural kids.

Campground near Hancock, WI. Large fifth wheel camper with an American flag at the top of a pole (with a picture of a male Buck deer covering most of it) and a Trump flag. Cult.

If WI's Map is undemocratic than you guys should also agree that NV's map is also undemocratic.

If Republican's legislative strength in Wisconsin is entirely due to geographic advantage then they shouldn't care about fair maps getting made finally.

They want a supermajority so it doesn’t matter how the state votes, and they can do what they want no matter what.
