Indy, it's not my lack of skill, it's an old computer that I'm working with.  My laptop is almost 4 years old and needs to be replaced, but I naturally don't have the money to replace it.

Maybe you would have the money if you
  • stopped eating out everyday
  • made due with a minimum wage job for the time being while looking for one with higher pay
  • stopped paying for an apartment you don't live in
  • studied cad(d) so you could've kept your old job (which you haven't done to this day)
  • listened to our advice

Roll Eyes

****ing lol.

King and others have beaten this horse a million times over, but seriously? I recognize cooking is beyond your skill set (most things more difficult than breathing are), but you're going to roll your eyes at things like working a minimum wage job and canceling a primo apartment that you don't even live in at this point?

There are calves raised for veal that move more than you.

Patrick, first of all, thank you for not giving up on me when it'd be so easy and somewhat justified to do so.  I know things must change and change soon.  I've seen the scale go higher and I need to find a way to curb it.  All these family dinners that I have no control over are not helping, but I can't use that as an excuse.  One big thing is I've been having way too many regular sodas lately.  I need to switch exclusively (as far as pop goes) to Diet Dr Pepper or Diet Coke.  The reason I have sandwiches for lunch is it's the easiest thing to fix for lunch and is slightly better than Ramen or Mac & Cheese bowls.  I just have one small bag of chips and five cookies (usually fig newtons) for lunch with a Diet Dr Pepper.  Tonight for supper I had 3 ribs and a Diet Dr Pepper.  Nothing else.

People starving in famines have no control over how much they eat.  You most certainly do. No one is forcing you to "clean up the meat".  Eat slow and know when to put down the fork.  So you are broke right now and may not have many options, however, you have a computer and can keep track of the caloric level at the very least. You keep your calories down and put your exercise up, you will lose weight at your size. Even if you continue to eat poorly, you should still get some exercise in as it has positive mental impacts too.  With that said, Im going to go workout as its been couple of days. Indolence becomes a habit if you let it.

I can definitely limit myself to one plate at the dinners.  I am not saying that.  I just have no control over when these family dinners occur.

How would I go walk outside for 30 minutes in 30 degree weather, I don't get home until 1745 and it's already nearly pitch black outside.  The last thing I want to do is get back in the car and go to a mall (which there are none real close) and walk for 30 minutes.  That would end up taking 2 hours including the drive and I don't have much time in the evenings to begin with.  Outside of Saturday's, my schedule and location don't lend themselves to walking for 30 minutes.

Well you could start by not being a whiny pu$$y for a few hours.

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to waste 2 hours of my night just to walk for 20 minutes.  I only get 4 hours between the time I get home and bed time and I am not going to throw away half of that driving all over creation just to find a lighted path to walk.

Huh

2 hours = 120 minutes > 20 minutes.

I just can't imagine how someone in apparently so much pain wants to do nothing about it.

Because it's all about doing what's most expedient and facilitates laziness. I actually believe Jeff when he says his headache was so bad this morning that he had to leave work, and if his boss allowed it, so be it.

But rather than try to get himself well in any way, he continues to eat like sh[ink], drink nothing but headache-inducing soda and get literally no exercise. Plus he watches hours and hours of TV, because it's easy.

Successful people don't do "easy" -- therefore, Jeff will never succeed. He doesn't have it in him in any way other than to just talk and "plan." Useless words backed up by years of inaction.

I'm a lot better than I was this morning.  We had chili for supper tonight, nothing out of the ordinary for most Americans.  I only had one bowl.  I did have a coke with it, but the sugary sodas don't give me headaches.  I ruled those out a long time ago through a series of personal tests.  Sugar and caffeine do not affect my headaches.  In fact, for me, the sugar and caffeine actually acts as a pain reliever, not a pain inducer.  Right now, I'm drinking a Diet Dr Pepper.  I'll take this moderate headache any day over the double whopper of a migraine I had this morning. (See what I did there. Tongue )

literally had to check to make sure this wasn't a blubb

Any plans to make some time in the evening for AutoCAD at least once this week?

I plan on doing it Saturday.

Oh, and I still plan to work with my AutoCAD some this evening after the birthday party.  I should be home at or before 2000, so while I watch some late night football, there's no reason I can't work with it some.

Did you play with CAD last night?

Good morning, folks.  I'm at work.  It was hard getting out of bed this morning.  I went to bed at a good time, but was extra sleepy this morning.  Anyway, I'm here.  Millions of Americans of all ages enjoy watching Rudolph and Frosty when they come on CBS each year, so to consider then childish is very far fetched.  I will say it again, there is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas half the year like I do.  It's perfectly acceptable.

So it's now time to really start thinking about a title for the next season. Put on your thinking caps people!
