I don't really remember the first few years with him as president.  I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade when he was first elected.  So I really can't comment for sure, but I'd guess to begin with I would've been pretty neutral towards his presidency.  If I have to pick one, I'd say "approve," but only slightly.

Looking back now, however (and putting aside the fact that he broke the law by lying under oath--and got away with it like a crook--anyone, especially a world leader, should not be immune to the law, but Bill Clinton for some reason was), I'd say he was in no way a terrible president, but I don't think he really took the country anywhere in terms of progress.  I'd say "disapprove," and again only slightly, towards the latter part of his term in office.

I would have been angry at him in late 1993 after he caved into the Military and that jackass Sam Nunn on Don't Ask Don't Tell. At least Bush doesn't retreat from confrontation.

I agree.  Don't Ask Don't Tell is a stupid policy in that it supports discrimination.
