The Republican Party is currently dead and has been taken over by Donald Trump.

I left it, and I'm never coming back.  Its membership and its voters are far removed from civil discourse, genuine patriotism, and rational thought.  The GOP died in 2016 by their embrace (even if it was at first unwilling) of Donald Trump.  No matter what they do from this point on, it will never be enough to win me back because I'll never forget how they caved in the face of fascism in America.

Any current Republican voter who detests Trump but has yet to leave the party should really rethink that decision.  Your party is gone and it won't be rebuilt in any recognizable form in your lifetime.  For you, there are limited options...either you cave as the rest of your party has to Trump, or you vote Democratic despite policy differences.  Third party won't cut it in this era because the stakes are now too high.  When fascism reigns supreme in the White House, your only patriotic option is to vote it out, even if that means voting Democratic.  We either move forward or we get steamrolled by our enemies Trump has allied himself, and by default our government, with.  Life is not often black and white, but when Trump is in the equation there is no gray; you can either vote Democratic and get your country back, or you vote for Trump (third party votes=a vote for Trump).

Not even just Republicans, but evangelicals too. I am a Christian and that will never waiver. But I can never count myself among the many evangelicals who have embraced a devil because they think he’ll get them their favored policy even though they claim to realize how awful he is.

If you get in bed with someone you know to be a devil, you’ll get burnt.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton used to teach Sunday school. Tim Kaine goes on mission trips. Trump and Pence haven’t done anything with the power and influence they’ve possessed to further Christ’s message. In the case of Trump, he openly mocks our faith by saying he’s a Christian but hasn’t done anything that needs forgiving, making fun of disabled people, and openly discriminating based on race and religion. Nearly every word uttered by him has been decidedly anti-Christian and his policies haven’t furthered our message whatsoever—if anything, it’s driven more people away. Now, a president is not required to further the message of any religion, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that evangelicals voted for him because they thought (and still do) that he would. Despite evidence, despite Trump’s own words and actions.

I am a Christian, but I will never be an evangelical.

I love how liberals spit on, mock, disrespect, insult, and react with unbridled glee at every Evangelical misfortune, but when a Republican president does something they don't like, they are like "Bu-bu-bu-bu-buh-the-BIBLE! Compassion! Evangelicals, save us!" Not bloody likely.

Cite examples please.  I’ve never once seen a liberal do this.
