Sad to see Beto O'Rourke retiring from politics.

I really don't think he'll win, but at least if any TX Dem could it should be him. But still the Tx dems are the state party that ran with the logic in 2014 "Let's pick the candidate who is literally only known for being for choice in TX!" so I wouldn't put it past them to nominate some annoying activist instead.

O'Rourke has campaigned in all 254 counties already. Impressive.

Even in King County as well?
That was probably an early stop considering how close it is to his district.

BOLD PREDICTION:

Going purely off of yard signs here in Austin I'm willing to make the following ballsy  prediction, that Beto will win Travis county. Tongue

As of today I have seen two Ted Cruz yard signs in Austin. Looks like this race is over. #Cruzslide Tongue

Lol.

Guys is it just me or is Ted Cruz not good at this politics thing

It's just you, he did after all take down the Lt. Governor and win a senate seat.

That being said Beto is much better at it.

Being a right-winger and winning a Republican primary in Texas is not a sign of political skill.

Winning a primary against a well established statewide officeholder in TX is much more difficult than I think you realize.

Under the election law of most other states, Cruz would have lost since he only won in the run-off. The first round of voting went to Dewhurst.

Exactly, that is what makes it more impressive. He finished well behind in the 1st round.

Dallas Morning News endorses O'Rourke, for whatever that's worth (Not much, of course, as no one cares about endorsements anymore). DMN is traditionally a very Republican newspaper.

DMN has endorsed quite a few Dems this year actually. I noticed a while ago they endorsed Sen. Huffine's challenger if the that north Dallas district.
