Just thought I'd chime in my two cents for whats they're worth.

A day celebrating the drafting of our constitution sounds like a fantastic cause for a regional holiday although April 12th would be a bad call IMO. No need to tie a holiday to a day that would been seen as negative to what I'm sure would be plurality in the region.

As for the second part regardless of our personal feelings I feel like its setting bad precedent to start enshrining in law days meant to mock individuals or celebrate their fall. However I could see it being amended to read that a holiday be established to celebrate individual liberty and serve as a constant reminder and warning to never elect those who would be tyrants. I would say Sic Semper Tyrannis Day but John Wilks Booth ruined that otherwise awesome phrase.
