Data on your deficit can be found on page one of the GM thread, the numbers are the accumulatyed deficits of the states in your region as of 2004.  Spending is the accumulated spending in the states of your region, and taxes are the accumulated taxes of your region.  So each state has a different tax system.  You swapped NM and MT since that data was published, but I'm pretty sure both had balanced bdgets, so its not really a big change.

I'm sorry, but none of us are very good at economics, but we have been making great progress in constitutional and social issues.

I didn't mean to be rude, I was just a bit incredulous.  Sorry.
