Be nice.  The cooling off period is a perfectly valid idea, and is in place at both the federal and local levels.  Debate the issue on the merits, folks.

Federal law mandates at least 5 days under the Brady Bill.  States may have stricter laws, and there amy have been a subsequent extension of the cooling off period I'm not familiar with.
