Yes, the 80 Billion supplemental was FY 2005.

That should not be added to the budget, since it happenned in real life as well.  Its already included.

Q1 growth comes in at 1.7%.

This projects to a GDP of $11.178 trillion dollars by year's end.

Federal taxes have averaged 18% of GDP since 1950.

OMB estimate for 2005 Revenue is $2.012 trillion.

How is the budget $2.9 trillion?  It should be closer to $2.6 trillion.

Data for major miscellaneous agencies, including Social Security, can also be found here.

Hope this helps.

Don't understand why they are different...

Did you use the 2005 numbers or the 2009 numbers?

According to my reading of this, the Federal Budget should be roughly about 2.4 Trillion, though that doesn't sound exactly right to me also.

That should be very close to the right number.

How is our deficit smaller than the Federal deficit when we've spent more money than they have?

My ruling is to use the wisdom of King Solomon: Split the difference.  Cut the offsetting reciepts in half to determine which Senator loves them most figure the final deficit.
