Who’s running for the Democrats? Who are their best candidates?
Katie Hobbs and Greg Stanton seem like two top tier candidates to me. I imagine one (if not both) of them will end up running.
I think Mayor Gallego could also throw her hat in — and possibly win the nomination. She probably sits it out but there’s probably a lot of upside to jumping in...otherwise she has to wait until 2026.
Personally, I find Hobbs to be an atrocious candidate, even if I like her personally and think she has had to endure so much. I suspect she would lose against most GOPers. Stanton, as a vanilla blank slate, would be a better choice.
I expected her to run for Senate and for Brnovich to go for Governor. I wonder if that means Brnovich is running against Kelly.
This doesn’t say as much about Brnovich as it does about Ducey running against Kelly, IMO.
