Between James Buchanan (1791-1868) and Herbert Hoover (1874-1964), no US President lived to be more than 74 years of age. Moreover, excluding those assassinated, every President who died in their fifties were born in this era. It's an interesting contrast since the Presidents of the early Republic were generally fairly long lived with multiple being octogenerians and John Adams's record of 91 years not being matched until the early 2000s.
