As much as I would love to see Roy Moore in the Senate, I don't want to wind up with a competitive race in Alabama of all places

It's Alabama. He can't lose the GE.

No. No open seat in a red state should be taken for granted by the GOP. Remember what happened in IN and ND in 2012?

Likely R.

There's no comparision between AL and IN/ND

The Alabama Republican Assembly is backing Moore.

Also, I dug up Moore's election map from 2012. He lost by only 3.5%, even as Romney was walloping Obama by 22%. I'm starting to actually think Democrats should make a serious play if Moore is the nominee. Moore could be the GOP version of Martha Coakley.

This being a off-season election could help making or more competitive.

Part of me wants Strange to win simply as less terrible. Another part of me wants to see Moore winning for the lulz, since this sear is going Republican anyway.

To hell with the potential ad bait. The DSCC and DNC need to go all-in on fueling Jones and burying Moore.

Democrats are not winning this seat. Frankly, the only way to stop Moore is to prop Strange.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but can Strange pull a Cochran and get Democrats to vote for him in the runoff?  I don't know what Alabama law says on runoffs.

God, I remember people here saying "I hope McDaniel beats Cochran, so we can pick up this seat like we did in Indiana". Yeah, it wouldn't happen in Mississippi, and picking up Alabama won't happen now either. It's between a generic Republican hack (Strange) and utterly despicable human being (Moore).

Chances Jefferson Dent will actively campaign for Jones?

Jefferson Dent is Moore's polar opposite.
