OK I have one comment. I find that the fiancee giving the ring back to OKBush's parents rather than to the man himself, a possible indicator of several things, none of them very reassuring, and a couple potentially quite disturbing. In any event, normally a mature person would meet with the chap, explain what is going on, and why she things the marriage is a bad idea, etc. What we may have here are two very immature people, looking for love in all the wrong places. Or maybe not. Just another thing to ponder.

Great news everyone!! I just meet a wonderful man named John. He's 25 and never had a boyfriend before, as he told me.

It's reliefing to hang out with some dudes after things didn't worked out with Susan.

I also scored yet another success in my Ameriplan job by having another recruit, my dog Fluffy.

Facebook status at 12:35 CT on 8/14/10: came back to OKC early today after hearing the awful news about my girlfriend. She was taken by ambulance to OUMC on Friday complaining of symptoms of a stroke. She is home now and they have determined it was Bell's Palsy. Please pray for her. She is going through a really tough month and it just keeps building on her.

My thoughts are with her and her family.

I'm going to put off the break up for a little while until she's recovered.  I'm afraid much more stress will kill her or put her in a mental ward for a time.  I don't want either of those for her.  I still plan to break up with her, but I'm going to wait on that so she can ease out of her current stress.

Uh, I thought you already broke up with her? The saga continues...

No, she broke up with his mom not him.  Duh.

And secondly, even if you are good at "sales," do you have any interest whatsoever in the product that you'll be selling?

Indeed.  While anything, even if they fire you in two weeks, is better than AmeriPlan, when it comes down to sales, it seems to me like you have to either love your product or be manipulative to be able to market it well.

I think I can be a good salesman.  It'll be tough, but if I just follow their system, I should be alright.  I also need to focus on what will best meet my customer's needs.  I'm kind of looking forward to it.  Like I said, I'm going to get the base salary in writing as well as what I have to do to just get that.  We'll see, though.  Their website also says they offer the standard benefits, Medical, Dental, 401(k) with match, and paid holidays and paid vacation.  I'm going to make sure I get that in writing as well.

I didn't hear from the marketing $30,000 job this evening, so I'm guessing they don't want me.  I'm going to call them in the morning and find out for sure, though.

I'm going to try to get up fairly early and get a haircut before I go to my 11:00 interview.  That's the only thing I really have scheduled tomorrow.
