No one knows how he initially got elected, not even people from Wyoming. What is generally concluded is that he made a deal with Lucifer for his first Election Victory and all the voters were struck by the dark passion and voted him into office. Since it's Wyoming and he's a Republican many people stopped caring long ago about how crazy he was and just kept electing him back into office. Known for his paradoxically contradictory views on issues, D'Israeli's chances at winning the nomination are slim at best.
Or he people didn't get the memo that moving the general election to December was just April fools, allowing D'Israeli to get elected with 100% votes (his and his dog).
