So, if you're going to spam and insult the people, you can get away with a slap in a wrist because you're an old (by tenure or age) poster. But if you're a newbie, you're f**ked.

Another victory for forum justice.

But hey, how can I complain? If I only were newbie now, I'd be banned within nanoseconds, as an old trolls can feel really confortable around.

If the ban is only temporary, I don't see what's wrong with it.  He'll be back soon enough.  Dave gave me a ban under the table for a month in 2009 for this account and I took it in stride.

And yet LarryT is still posting, and Hamilton was still allowed here for FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too long after johnnyboy.

You're just proving my point, North Dakotan. If I were a newbie and made the sock today, I'd be very banned quickly, even if sock lasted one day. But because of being around for a while I'm being treated more lenient (and so you are, no rookie producing a spam polls about one or two topics would last long) than newbies.

Veterans or semi-veterans are simply getting an easy pass, when it comes to punishing someone. That's an Atlas reality.

If someone should be getting as easy pass, that are newbies, who, unlike oldies, may not know the rules that well.

So, you're saying you should be banned too?

Tongue

There were times when making a sock, although definitively against the TOS, wasn't such a grave offense. Otherwise people like me or Ben ("The Populist") would've be banned. Now that's changed, but I bet some really old poster could get away with that, just because oldies are treated far more lenient.
