I would propose striking sections (2) and (3) from the bill.

So, basically leaving a provision about sticking the current WH thread at the top, right?

As of Marokai's concerns, I understand. How about modyfing this to extending this period?

Any other proposals/concerns/suggestions, guys?

Thank you all for your feedback Smiley

What do you think about this version?

Ask The Power Act

1. Moderator General shall be required to stick current official White House thread
2. Any citizen of Atlasia shall be allowed to submitt an official question here for President, Vice President or any cabinet members, regarding Government business
3. President, Vice President or Cabinet member, to whom question was addressed, shall be requested to provide an official answer

When asking questions of a cabinet member, does it make more sense to ask at the White House or at the particular office/department?

So either he'd have to ask MG to stick all official threads (and that would be a MESS) or limit it just to President and Vice President. Thoughts?

All right.

We have general agreement about sticking WH thread to the top.

We don't have an agreement about later parts.

The first part is a good idea. I don't understand why we need legislation allowing people to ask questions. I think that should be allowed without a piece of paper telling us we can ask him a question.

I understand your concerns. Since we seems unlikely to reach satisfying concensus, outside of the part 1, I hereby propose this draft:

I'd obviously support that. The current bill basically tries to setup a way to ask questions, correct? Is there anything in the laws that does not allow us to ask questions in the WH thread? Or any cabinet member's thread?

I think the Public WH thread that PS created is a good idea, unless we just merge the two into the stickied thread.

See, I knew, of course, asking question never was "illegal" and such bill wouldn't make it "more legal". All I wanted was to make it easier. But you're right, it's not really needed. So I hope we can pass this version Smiley

Do we really need to pass a law just to sticky a thread?

1. Why not? We're talking about federal executive HQ after all
2. Since we already wasted so much time on this, we can at least pass something useful

Damn you people Roll Eyes

First "Oh, what a cool idea", then we can't agree on two points and now this... And you're f**king suprised I want to retire?

I had to limit it to point one, because there was no agreement at all on points 2 and 3 and, if I didn't, this would end like another bill we're doing for months, getting anywhere close to the end. So either pass it or reject.
