As much as I dislike Bob Riley, he's actually two term Governor, reelected in a year bad for Republicans, who left due to term limits less than a month ago. Oh, not to mention he was already considered as possible McCain's running-mate in 2008.
How can you compare him to a failed dude, who lost to David F-king Duke a two decades ago, and accomplished nothing ever since? While I doubt he can win a nomination, he'd be a natural frontrunner for the Vice Presidency, especially is someone like Romney or Huntsman is nominated.
