There is the Orthodox section of the church, as opposed to Catholic and Protestant.  The two main sects are Russian Orthodox and Greek Orthodox.

(I think)

Oh, what is the differents? Like Catholic pray to Mary, all that other stuff. And Protestans, pray to God and all that other stuff.

So you're saying that Greensboro Catholics don't pray to God? I don't think so.

No, that is what they have told us... Trust me we asked because Catholics are not that common as up north.

So wait...you mean to tell me you asked Catholics down in North Carolina if they prayed to God and they said No? Listen, Catholics have a devotion to the Blessed Mother but to say we just pray to Mary is ridiculous.

I'm not saying you pray to Mary, I am just saying that is what the Catholics in Greensboro said.

since there are such few Catholics in the south, they probably most belong to nutty offshoot sects. You have few Lutherans too, and I bet if you were to ask them abou things they would say stuff that we don't believe here, such as that the Pope is the Antichrist and women shouldn't be ordained.

I have a Lutheran friend. She said they are kinda like Catholics.

We pray directly to God and we also pray through Mary and the Saints to God.
Huh? You pray to Saints too? Wouldn't that be like having other gods? (Not trying to be rude or upset you, but I don't know anything about Catholics)

He said "through" not "to".  We have requests for intercession from the Saints.  We ask those who have gone before to pray for us.  We do not pray to them.

OH OK sorry, I was reading to fast.

For the past 4 year them christain liberals wanted to bring them wanna be bibles in our church. And for 4 years they tried to brainwash the youth. And tried to use us to get that CRAP in there.

well Josh, I think your dunking is much weirder than what they do (which is similar to us), although I do disagree with them that unbaptized infants go to hell so I agree with you there.

They believe unbaptized infants go to hell? NOOOOO infants mind are so small to understand right and wrong. And when a person reaches that poin to know right from wrong then at that point if they died then they go to hell.

Yes 100% baptism is for believers show they have changed in side. Baptism is an outward showing of what happen inside. Therefore infants baptism is wrong.

plus the idea that any human can forgive sins is blasphemous.

NO. See this is where you are going to try to change what we believe and I won't stand for it. The priest does not forgive, God does. No where is it stated that the priest forgives us.

Do you guys ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins? Or does the priest do that?

Really, then why did Jesus give the Apostles such power in John 21: 22-23?
John 21
22   Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
23   Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

That has nothing to do with the subject.

Good.

Turn to Jn 3:5 and Mk 16:16

"Jesus answered, "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit."

So Jesus states that baptism is nessesary to enter the Kingdom.  Correct?

No,
john 3
3   Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

He said MAN.. not child....

5   Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

He is is talking about the Holy Spirit coming into you when you are born again.
