He was elected in a byelection a few months ago. He then called an early election just 'cus. So the voters of his constituency will be voting three times (!!) in a year purely because of his ego.

Yeah, that's certainly true in his case of course.

And Swann just sort of compared the PC dynasty to a third world dictatorship

When you have 44 years of conservative dominance, any change in the opposite direction is wonderful news for anyone with a center or center-left persuasion.
