The Northeast Judiciary
Office of the Chief Judicial Officer
New York City, New York

Welcome to the Northeast Judiciary!

This will serve as the official office of the Chief Judicial Officer and Election Administrator of the Northeast.  It is my goal to make this office a resource for citizens to connect to current judicial cases and all matters relating to Northeast elections.

The following two posts in this thread will be reserved by me to create an interactive list linking to any ongoing litigation or elections, as well as to house any official judicial orders.

Thank you,
Barnes
Chief Judicial Officer

The reason for this directive is to provide a single, streamlined thread to present any litigation.  It is my opinion that case threads should be easily understandable and navigable; by having all case threads operated by the CJO, with all relevant case material posted at the beginning of the thread, this should be easily achieved.

This thread should be on the regional board IMO

No political offices are maintained in government boards - for either regional or federal offices (with the exception of the White House, which maintains an identical thread here).  Also, the point of this thread is to be easily accessible for citizens.  This board is, by far, the most viewed board in Atlasia.

This isn't a political office, this is a government office. Plus, your wrong about the other office's threads. Duke's White House thread on here was his campaign one.

Look, I don't really want to continue this argument any longer.  I will just say to look around to every other official office maintained on this board - such as the Governor of the Northeast, himself - and perhaps you'll understand my reasoning. The Regional Government Board is buried in a sub-forum and would not be the easiest place to display the important election information that this office is supposed to provide.

As Chief Judicial Officer, I hereby declare that the total number of votes cast in the election for each candidates was as follows:

Dr. Cynic = 10
JoMCaR = 7

Seeing as Poirot neither declare in the appropriate thread that he would accept write-in votes, nor did he actually write his own name in on his ballot, all write-in votes cast for Poirot were not counted.

Therefore, Dr. Cynic has been duly elected to serve as a Representative in the Northeast Assembly.

The results of this election will be gazetted in the official office of the Northeast Judiciary.

I will be on LOA until Thursday, July 17.  Not that I expect there to be much litigation between now and then, but you never know... Wink

You can't have the Northeast Cabinet repeal amendment in this voting booth - that vote lasts a week. The special electionast 3 days.

Please read Article VII, Section 2 of the Northeast Constituton - regional constitutional amendments are voted on for three days.

It has come to my attention that there is some confusion regarding the certification of two federal amendments in February 2014.

Therefore, I certify that the Plebiscite Clause Removal Amendment has been approved by the Northeast Region.

Furthermore, I certify that the On Third Thought, We Do Have Expectations Amendment has been approved by the Northeast Region.

I hereby give notice that a special election to fill the seat of Dr. Cynic, resigned, will be held next weekend.

EDIT: The timing of the election was incorrectly stated earlier; this has now been corrected. Smiley
