The underdog usually starts out with a strong lead because his voters are generally more passionate about voting first and all that, thus giving the impression of a very close race or indeed a victory, however, this will usually stop around the second day and remain relativity stagnant while the front runner builds up a lead.

Interesting. Which candidate is considered the underdog in this match up?

In my opinion, Alfred.  Simply because Franzl is an Atlasian veteran, and the Labor party being further to the left than the more centrists Liberals.
