That is the first time I have ever heard that term and I cannot imagine anything like that happening in the UK on an election night...

They do the same thing in Denmark and Norway too. I've never understtood the point of having a debate between the party leaders after the polls have closed but in some countries it's an important part of election night tradition.

In Sweden party leaders always go the studio of SVT election coverage to get interviewed. They're never all there at the same time though, and it's more of a casual interview than any sort of debate. Still, I suspect that is a bit weird seen from a British perspective since you'd never see the Prime Minister appear in the BBC studio at election night to be personally interview by David Dimbelby.
