If Biden is the nominee, he will have already picked Warren. Effectively. His people leaking their meeting to the press tips that they, smartly, would not try to compete against Clinton and Sanders alone (he won't win that way) but as a buzzed about Biden-Warren ticket with Biden to serve one term. A presidential candidate still competing for the nomination never says who they would tap to be their running mate but (a) if anyone is going to say something people usually left unsaid it's Biden (b) this unspoken rule has evolved a bit. Scott Walker pushed the idea of Rubio as his VP to try and siphon off Rubio supporters. Warren has good discipline and would refuse to answer the question but I think she probably would accept if asked. But to answer the question, yes, Biden would pick Warren, and by the time he does, it'd be a formality. She would probably help or at least not hurt in the general.
That said, it still feels 50/50 he doesn't even run because Hillary will be extremely tough to beat.
