She'll have to pick somebody who is under 50, so no.

Under 50? She's pretty likely to pick someone under 60 but it wouldn't affect the race if she picked someone over.

Anyway, it would require a new Secretary of State with 6 months left in Obama's term and the GOP would probably refuse to confirm one for the hell of it.

Kerry should stay as Secretary of State, he's done a pretty good job.

I hope Clinton picks Tim Kaine as her running mate. He's the ideal candidate: A younger age 54, he has experience as Senator and Governor and is from an important state (Virginia).

Also, fluent in Spanish and a devout Catholic. I've come to think Kaine is a stronger frontrunner in the D veepstakes than Walker or Bush are for the GOP presidential nomination. The downside is his seat is safer with Kaine running for re-election in 2018 but he may be a strong enough VP pick to take that risk.

1.John Kerry would only be 63 in 2016, he likely just seems older because he's been in politics for so long.

He seems older because of his birth certificate. He'll be 73.

Yeah but we need a Secretary of State until 2017. As fun as it would be to nominate Rice and bait the GOP into another Benghazi hearing, it won't happen.
