The downgrade itself no.  The potential effects of it increase his chances of winning a landslide while having 10% approval.  But hopefully it will have no effect but ending S&P's credibility.

Actually, Geoff Davis (R-KY) is a Tea Party guy, but he's not listed there.

He could be one of those few that chose not to affiliate.  Let's face it, the Tea Party members, former members, and fellow travelers are not even a majority within the GOP. 

Which is why Tea Party downgrade is a misnomer.  It's the GOP downgrade.
