The day before my 29th birthday, and four days after my wife's 26th.

Ah, so you get to combine everything into one week.

That's the thought - take a week off and go somewhere nice, like an island resort, and celebrate both birthdays and the anniversary. Also makes it hard for me to forget the date...

I'm sure you'll find a way to let is slip your mind anyway
