Harry Reid says Tulsi Gabbard will not be given hearing, urges Obama to nominate another candidate.
Citing Tulsi Gabbard's past opposition to same-sex marriage, Harry Reid, who is expected to remain Majority Leader in the new Senate, has stated that Tulsi Gabbard will not be given a committee hearing or vote in the Senate and called on President Obama to appoint another candidate. Reid also warned that if Obama tried to appoint Gabbard via a recess appointment, he would sue to block recess appointments both from him and from future Presidents.
Lol ironic given that 3 years before this, Obama didn't even support same-sex marriage.
