I'm thinking of giving you a preference, but I'd like you to tell me in a list of say three reasons why I should, without sending me to go read stuff I've already read.

I'm thinking of giving you a preference, but I'd like you to tell me in a list of say three reasons why I should, without sending me to go read stuff I've already read.

I've tried to debate everything I've proposed and everything others have proposed in the Senate comprehensively and for a long amount of time. I've long believed in debate and the fact that a strong argument and change people's minds, and that's what I've tried to live by in the Senate, arguing passionately for and against legislation, doing research on legislation, and trying to bring a bit of fiery passion that the Senate didn't really have before.

I propose relevant legislation, and try to bring some conflict to the Senate, since I've always believed the Senate needs a little shaking up once in awhile. Afleitch lives by the idea as well.

Further and perhaps most importantly, I live up to my promises. If I say I'm going to do it, I almost always do. I follow through with things, and try to make accomplishments and build a strong record. I like to think I did that as Attorney General and that I've accomplished pretty much everything I wanted to do when I was first elected. I think these elections simply comes down to who's shown they deserve it more, and I think I deserve it.

Or, of course, you could believe that Senators apparently can't make any difference at all and I've accomplished nothing. Tongue

Thank you. You have my consideration.

That aside, I decided to run for President because while partisan bickering is lots of fun, we are facing a genuine crisis in Atlasia, & have been facing one for a long time. This crisis relates to the fact that Atlasian voters tend to be very inactive outside of election time. While I am proud to say that we are making progress in this regard, Atlasian activity is a mere shadow of what it once was. If elected President, I will dedicate myself to finding solutions to this problem.

It's still amusing.

What's amusing? PiT ran a good campaign and has remained active.

Not PiT, sorry, I'm talking about Duke. During the campaign in June he talked about activity and how we were facing a CRISIS of RAMPANT INACTIVITY and something NEEDED to be done to stop it. Despite that, PiT endorses Duke, someone who has a history of inactivity, twice. I actually ran against Duke for the special election, if you're interested in reading up on it here in this thread.

Oh I knew about your election against Duke, I just was confused as to who that endorsement was referring to. I don't think Duke would be running if he wasn't planning on staying active, however.

Didn't stay very active after he ran last time, until another election rolled around. Besides, he gave me a lecture on how school drains his activity, yet here he is running for the Senate in mid-August. Is school suddenly not a problem for him?

Well I think it's certainly not as draining as end of school, which I'd assume is what he referred to previously. I'm willing to give Duke a chance, because his politics seem reasonable and I wasn't around here at the time of his inactivity.

Dude! Take a few days off from here.  Everything will continue to function as normal, I assure you.

I'm going through a personal crisis myself (but I'm not sharing what it is).

Fritz is right, Marokai, RL problems are much more important than this dumb highly complex, intricate game for intellectuals.
