Loathe as I am to speak against The People, I have to disagree with your harping on Nix's commendable veto of the atrociously bloated mental health bill. With that veto, Nix struck an important blow against the inaccessibility and obtusity of Atlasian legislation and I think it may well go down as the most important symbolic act of his Presidency.
Hello friend,
I am not harping on Nix's veto. He knows I am somewhat playing it up because of how long we worked on it, but I respect his decision to veto it. I mean no harm by my kidding around
I am merely stating that one of my goals if elected will be to pass mental health reform. Hopefully this time, we will be able to get a bit crafted that has less bloat and targets the problems that need addressing in a surgical manner. I certainly will not want it to be bloated because keeping the federal budget in check is something I am always concerned about.
Thanks for the explanation Duke - this makes me feel a lot better about likely giving this campaign of The People my first preference in the event that there's not a viable Labor candidate.
