For Libertas:

1896 Palmer
1900 Bryan, for lack of a better option.  I do think that in 1900, at least, Bryan's role in the Anti-Imperialist League would appeal to him.
1904: Huh  Not voting, perhaps?
1908: Taft, reluctantly (a recurring theme)
1912: Taft
1916: Wilson (buying into Wilson's lies about staying out of the war, Hughes with hindsight)
1920-56: straight Republican

Wrong about 1900, 1904, 1916, 1928. Possibly 1932 and 1952 also.
