Is social media exaggerating this stuff? There were some pretty great images floating around that claimed to be taken in Jackson or its suburbs, but no one I know in person (including as far north as Nashville) was able to see anything.

Honestly, I think people posting pictures like "hey check out these great shots of the auroras!" without clarifying that they couldn't actually see them, it's just what their phones happened to pick up qualifies as "exaggeration."

Nonetheless, I'll still look for them tonight and use my phone to see if I can pick anything up.
