It looks as if Hillary Clinton would almost certainly become our next president.  With the front-loaded primaries (which favor candidates with immense financial support, i.e. Hillary), and her juggernaught of establishment support as well as her appeal to women hungry to see someone with a uterus taking charge in the Oval Office, combined with the fact that Iraq is inextricably tied to the Republican Party, I am almost resigned to seeing Hillary Clinton take the oath of office on January 20th, 2009 as our 44th president.
I think you may be right.  Except I'm not sad about it.

I always find it mildly amusing how people seem to assume that three presidencies down the road, we'll still be tossing around the politicians we have today.

As I said earlier in this thread, why not put yourself in the shoes of somebody in 1967, and try and predict the next three presidents.  If you guessed: a Vice President who left office six years previously; the House Minority leader; and some hick state legislator from Georgia; you win a prize!

Of course, a whole bunch of other years could be picked and you'll find the same effect.

ok, so:

Al Gore
John Boehner
George Hooks

that'll do actually

How about this ?

Hillary Clinton-D: 2009-2017
Tom Vilsack-D: 2017-2021
Sarah Palin-R: 2021-2029
By then she'll be 56 and probably not hot anymore, so I doubt it.
