anyhow, every time I post in this thread people answer something like "woah, a Mississippi Democrat?!?!"
I can only remind you that Kerry got nearly 40% of the vote in Mississippi.  If you take 5 voting Mississippians at large, likely 2 are Democrats.  So you're going to have to do better than that.  A member of either major political party is not particularly surprising in any of the 50 states.
